BLOOM
A Creative Mentorship with Tricia Paoluccio
This is not just a flower pressing class.
BLOOM is a live six-week, hands-on mentorship designed to help you truly understand the craft: how flowers behave, how to preserve their color and shape, and how to work with them in a way that feels intuitive and reliable.
But beyond technique, this is about something bigger.
It’s about learning how to see and think like an artist.
How to create without fear, perfectionism, or overthinking.
How to trust your instincts and develop your own voice.
Through guided lessons, hands-on practice, and creative exercises, you’ll build real skill, real confidence, and a body of work that feels personal and meaningful.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already making work, BLOOM will meet you where you are and help you grow.

A Peek Inside BLOOM
-
Lesson 1: Introduction
Begin your creative reset.
In this first lesson, Tricia invites you to slow down, gather your materials, and step into a new way of approaching your craft practice.
This lesson builds upon her How to Press Flowers So They Don’t Turn Brown (required viewing), and goes further, offering expanded techniques and real-time problem solving for common challenges.
You’ll begin to think like a scientist, observing, experimenting, and learning how to press flowers successfully in your own environment with clarity and confidence.
-
Lesson 2: Method
Master the process. Understand the why.
You’ll learn how to troubleshoot mid-press challenges, preserve color and structure, and truly understand how flowers behave.
You’ll begin building your own pressed flower library, a personal reference system so you know exactly what’s possible where you live, with the flowers available to you.
-
Lesson 3: Gluing
Where practice becomes mastery.
This lesson focuses on precision, patience, and repetition, the foundation of professional-looking work.
You’ll learn how to glue cleanly and confidently so your pieces feel seamless and lasting. More importantly, you’ll build the kind of muscle memory that transforms hesitation into skill.
-
Lesson 4: Composition
Learn to see like an artist.
You’ll explore core principles of composition, balance, shape, storytelling, and emotional impact, while learning how to trust your eye.
Drawing from classical art principles, the Masters, and the world around you, this week will help you break out of old patterns and begin creating work that feels intentional, expressive, and uniquely yours.
-
Lesson 5: Creative Confidence
Find your voice.
This lesson is about moving beyond self-doubt and stepping into your artistic identity.
You’ll learn how to quiet perfectionism, trust your instincts, and create with confidence, whether you’re working abstractly or exploring more literal designs.
-
Lesson 6: Possibilities
Turn your practice into something more.
In this final lesson, you’ll reflect on your growth, deepen your mindset as an artist, and explore practical ways to use your skills, whether for personal fulfillment, creative work, or additional income through events, teaching, or commissions.
Testimonials
“The growth that emerged from BLOOM, and the impact of Tricia’s master flower pressing experience blew me away. I was not anticipating how beautiful the connection to the group would be. We all came into the mentorship with different goals, styles, and levels of expertise - yet we were united and grew together. It’s rare in the creative industry to find an artist who openly shares their journey, techniques, and resources. Tricia has a light and confidence that touches every person she encounters. I can’t recommend BLOOM enough to those who want to invest in their creative journey. It was worth every penny. ”
“BLOOM has been a transformative experience! It challenged me to learn, experiment, and step out of my comfort zone, all of which resulted in significantly improving my skills pressing and preserving flowers. Tricia’s nurturing environment, combined with the invaluable knowledge shared among participants made this journey truly exceptional. I’m now equipped with a deeper understanding of flower preservation and a newfound confidence in my abilities. The BLOOM mentorship not only taught me about art - it allowed me to blossom personally and artistically. ”
“I’ve been following Tricia for years and was always so impressed with her work. When she offered a mentorship, I didn’t really know what to expect, but the experience was beyond what I could have ever imagined. The attention she gave to each student and the time she spent answering questions with like having a personal flower pressing coach. Something else I really admired is how normal and real Tricia is. Her being so relatable was that I didn’t realize would be important going through a mentorship. To top it all off, the other participants were so supportive, and encouraging, and wonderful to be in a group with. I can’t wait for the next round! ”

FAQS
WHO IS BLOOM GREAT FOR? BLOOM is great for people who are have already begun their flower pressing journey. It is for people who have taken at least one of my two hour zoom classes (which are available on my site). Ideally you will have taken ONE of my “How to press flowers classes” (any season) and the recorded “How to glue botanicals” class. This mentorship is intended to help you become expert in the pure art of flower pressing, and to help you make beautiful things with what you press.
WHO IS BLOOM NOT GREAT FOR? BLOOM is not for those looking for branding advice, product development and techniques like graphic design, pattern making or how to translate art into other mediums. I don’t offer that guidance at this time, but will consider an advanced mentorship in the future.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN BLOOM? You need a good flower press and access to flowers and botanicals. You will also need a stash of extra paper and extra cardboard circles or squares - whatever type fits your press. You will need to purchase a neutral ph glue, brushes, and paper, which I discuss in my Glue class.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A FLOWER PRESS? You must have a flower press in order to do this workshop. My flower presses are 10% off now through April 17th. You can purchase here.
WHEN WILL ZOOM CLASSES BE HELD? Zoom classes will be held on Sundays at 3pm EST / 12pm PST / 8pm BST. We will skip Memorial Day weekend, and the weekend of Father’s Day, we will work on Saturday instead of Sunday. Bloom is a six-week program spread over seven weeks.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND A ZOOM CLASS? All zoom classes will be recorded and shared so you can watch on your own time. If you live in a time zone that does not lend itself to being there live, Self-Paced Bloom is available.
WILL I GET TO WORK DIRECTLY WITH TRICIA? Yes! During weekly office hours, you’ll have the option to join an open zoom room at your leisure to ask questions directly, get one on one help with projects, and share your process.
WHEN WILL OFFICE HOURS BE HELD? Before we begin, we will poll participants for the best time for weekly office hours.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND OFFICE HOURS? If you have questions and can’t attend office hours, you can post your question in the Facebook group or send me an email at hello@modernpressedflower.com. I will make a video responding to photographs of your work and share in the Facebook group or through email.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE FACEBOOK? It’s okay! You don’t have to participate in the Facebook group if you’re not on social media. All the information and assignments will be distributed in a weekly email. Facebook is to connect with other participants, share, get support, and celebrate. It’s not required to be part of the mentorship, but will be a big part of developing the community.
I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS. HOW CAN I ASK? You can email hello@modernpressedflower.com, and ask away!
